Insectary

At Domaine ELBOURA, our primary focus is on environment protection and IPM (Integrated Pest Management) implementation.

Our climate helps us to achieve these goals. With 45–50 °C during summer and humidity percentage (hygrometry) of only 7%, our orchards are naturally cleaned in summer. We have to keep it clean for the remaining seasons.

We prefer to use predators reared in our insectary (biological control) rather than spraying chemicals on our fruit, which is much better for our ENVIRONMENT and the HEALTH OF THE CONSUMER of our fruit.

Our entomologist evaluates the insect population in our orchards. He monitors the biological stages of the pests and suggests to the technical staff when and how to intervene.
