Domaine ELBOURA is certified to produce plants of the following species:

Testing activities
1- Virological tests
- ELISA (Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay) is used for large-scale testing.
- PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) is used to confirm tests found positive with ELISA.
- Electrophoresis is used for viruses.
- Biological tests by grafting plant material to be tested on sensitive plants.
2- Biochemical tests
Several biochemical tests are performed on all fruits and vegetables produced on our farms.

3- Microbiological tests
Both bacteriological and mycological tests are performed in our laboratory, This allows us to better control the phytosanitary treatment in our orchards and packinghouse. An antibiogram and fungiogram are performed to determine the best product to use.

Plant breeding
As for citrus, Domaine ELBOURA focuses on early citrus varieties (harvested in September – October), which have a good commercial future. Late harvesting seedless varieties are of special interest.

Many experiments are conducted in our laboratory. Our goal is to continuously improve our production system.
Our plant material bank is continually supplied with plant species of various origins. Chemotherapy and thermotherapy techniques are used to clean all plant material to be introduced into our laboratory.
Disease-free plants are maintained in our laboratory.
