Fully integrated
Domaine ELBOURA is 100% a vertically integrated company. Our fruit is grown in our own orchards and packed in our own packinghouse. Our fruit is exported and marketed by our own internal team. Every step from the nursery to the orchard, packing, marketing, and exporting is controlled by the same management team.
In this regard, Domaine ELBOURA is unique.
Ecologically orientated
The country’s climatic conditions encourage Domaine ELBOURA to be ecologically orientated. Our climate could be considered harsh with its very high temperatures (up to 50 °C) and low humidity (down to 7%). We find those climatic conditions exceptional and useful for producing citrus fruit with less pesticide use. The fungi, bacteria and some insects are eradicated by those conditions, even viruses are also halted. Consequently, our orchards are left virtually disease free. We enhance this natural process by the production of beneficial predators raised in our own insectary and then released into our orchards. Due to the large size of our farms, we are able to create a very favorable environment for growing our citrus fruits. Chemical treatments are avoided as much as possible but when this is not possible, each treatment is subject to very strict regulations. Therefore, we have developed and monitored a fertilization program that is maximally effective. Our citrus fruits are produced in a natural way, not in a factory! For the past 40 years, we have been producing fruit with the least use of chemicals.

Farms close to each other and to the packinghouse
Our total production is grown on only five farms. Our farms are located in the best citrus producing area: Taroudant in the center of Morocco. Production practices are identical on all our farms. The fruit is packed in only one packinghouse that operates to the very highest of standards.
The packinghouse is located at our central farm. The other farms are relatively close; the farthest one is 27 km away. Therefore, the time between harvesting and packing is very short.
In this regard, Domaine ELBOURA is unique.
